Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-22 · in effect from 22 August 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Digital Heroes ("we", "us") about your use of Ward. By creating an account or using Ward you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Ward.
Two other documents form part of this agreement: the Acceptable Use Policy, which says what Ward may and may not be used for, and the Privacy Policy, which says what we hold.
1. What Ward is
Ward is a Windows desktop application that manages isolated browser profiles on your own computer, each with its own storage, its own proxy and its own consistent device identity. It is local-first: your profiles and their contents stay on your machine.
We provide an account service alongside it that holds your identity and your plan, and — if you choose to use it — lets you share profile descriptions with teammates.
2. What Ward is not
Ward does not make you undetectable, and nothing in it should be read as saying so. A browser that is not modified at the source level can be distinguished by inspecting how its properties are defined. Ward states this in the application itself, next to the controls it applies to. If you need a guarantee that a website cannot tell one of your sessions from another, no product can honestly sell you one, and this one does not try.
Ward does not provide proxies. You supply your own, and your relationship with that supplier is yours.
Ward will not stop a website from enforcing its own terms against you. Using separate profiles is not a defence to breaking somebody else's rules, and section 4 is where your responsibility for that sits.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us at security@digitalheroes.co.in if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.
One account is for one person. A team plan gives seats to additional people, each with their own account; sharing one set of credentials between people is not permitted.
4. Your responsibility for what you do
You are solely responsible for your use of Ward, including:
- complying with the Acceptable Use Policy;
- complying with the terms of every service you access through a Ward profile;
- complying with all laws that apply to you, including data-protection, computer-misuse, consumer-protection and sanctions law;
- having the right to use every proxy, credential and account you put into Ward.
We do not police your profiles and we cannot. They are on your computer and we have no access. That means the responsibility in this section is real and sits entirely with you.
5. Plans and payment
Ward is offered on a free plan and on paid plans. Prices are shown on our website and are exclusive of any tax that applies to you.
Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep the paid features until then.
Refunds. If you are unhappy within 14 days of a first paid subscription, write to us and we will refund it. After that we do not refund part-periods, except where the law where you live requires it — and where it does, that law wins over this paragraph.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
Plan limits. Each plan includes a stated number of profiles, mobile profiles, and seats. If you exceed what your plan includes, we may prevent you from creating more, and we may restrict access to those over the limit until you either upgrade or reduce your usage. We will not delete your profiles, and nothing in Ward removes a profile directory from your disk.
6. The free plan
The free plan is provided as it is. We may change what it includes, or withdraw it, with 30 days' notice through the application. If we do, your existing profiles remain on your computer and remain yours; what changes is what the software will do with them.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the account service available but we do not promise any particular uptime, and we may take it down for maintenance.
Ward is designed so that the loss of our service does not stop you working: a stored session is honoured offline, and a confirmed plan continues to apply for a period without contact. That is a design property and not a contractual guarantee.
8. Your content
Everything you create in Ward is yours. We claim no rights over your profiles, your scripts, your notes or anything else you make.
If you use team sharing you grant us the limited right to store and transmit the descriptions you choose to share, for the purpose of sharing them with the people you nominated, and for no other purpose.
9. Our intellectual property
Ward, its name, its logo and its code are ours or our licensors'. You may use Ward under these Terms; you may not resell it, sublicense it, or present it as your own product.
You may not attempt to circumvent the plan limits or the licensing in the software.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Ward and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to by law, or if your account is used in a way that puts other people at risk. Where the circumstances allow it we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
On termination, your local data stays on your computer. You lose access to the account service, to team sharing, and to any paid features.
11. Disclaimers
Ward is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Ward will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular result will follow from using it — including any result on a third-party platform.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill.
- We are not liable for any action a third-party platform takes against you, including suspending, restricting or closing your accounts with them.
- Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or USD 50.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of Ward in breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or from your breach of any third party's rights.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version with a new version date and, where the change materially affects you, we will tell you in the application and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect and ask you to accept it. Continuing to use Ward after that means you accept the new version.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in and may bring proceedings there.
Before starting proceedings, please write to us at legal@digitalheroes.co.in. Most things are resolvable that way.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a transfer of the business.
These Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Ward.
